Why does my pool cover have holes?

​Why do some pool covers have holes in them?

• Some pool cover models have holes, and some do not.

• There are two reasons certain pool cover models have holes:

  • Water will accumulate on the pool cover and weigh it down when it rains. This can bend the metal frame and add stress to the pool and cover.

  • Standing water on top of the cover can make it very difficult to remove.
